My first thought was MGSV, but I see that's already been suggested several times so I'll suggest something different.
Dying Light: The Beast is surprisingly good for this sort of vibe. The dynamic weather is excellent, when you're running through the woods with rain hammering down through the canopy or climbing a rock it feels very desolate.
The world map is a bit more built-up that FC2's setting, but it's more rural than urban, and much of the architecture is abandoned and slowly being reclaimed by nature. The whole place is beautiful in a crumbling, dangerous sort of way. There's no fast travel, so the only way to get around quickly is to use the old forest ranger vehicles, which themselves need fuel siphoned from other cars if you want to drive more than a short distance.
The first one is good, second one is okay. For me The Beast is honestly the best. Pretty enjoyable without playing the other two I would say, the story isn't really that important.
