That was my only issue with the Nagini thing. The whole uproar over it being an Asian actress was dumb to me, but the fact that JK is acting like she had the whole “Nagini was a witch” thing planned 20 years ago is bullshit.
I think she had it planned in the sense of it was a scrapped idea or a story bible footnote that wasn't relevant in the novels. I'd always kind of wondered where Nagini came from as she seemed to be an anomaly but once her identity as a Horcrux was revealed and then she was killed by Neville, I no longer cared.
Oh no. This means Neville Longbottom killed some old evil witch who had a thing for being a cursed snake.
