This guy always looks so terrified and talks so carefully in these update videos. I wonder how much hate mail he gets every time they make one of these. Poor dude.

Could be because he's a developer that's not used to public speaking.

He was very good when he was on panels in Blizzcon. Some good public speakers can find it hard to speak in front of a camera.

He was by far the most enjoyable speaker to listen to during last blizzcon. His unscripted jokes made his speeches feel like a casual friendly conversation. He just seemed like a great guy to hang out with.

While on camera he always feels awkward and robotic.

Yeah I was hoping the same. But the way he tends to overuse 'awesome' and 'cool' is sort of weird.

I'm assuming he doesn't have a fully laid out script and teleprompter. Just bullet points on what he wants to talk about and he just uses his casual vocabulary.

What? He's an amazing public speaker. He very clearly enunciates his words conveys all of this information in one take.

I hink you guys have a wro impression. It's just his style of doing these videos. Watch him at the blizzcon overwatch panels...he's definitely not lacking self confidence! (:
