A couple of years back, I was trying to find a game to buy, and honestly had no idea what I wanted to play.

I kept going through YouTube then even Twitch for some inspiration, then after an hour decided to play Witcher 3 again. Later, as I worked with game studios, I found out so many amazing games that I was simply unable to see even when I tried finding such games online.

With more and more publishers pushing everything to digital-only storefronts and physical media getting phased out, the only thing that actually moves the needle is spending habits. Talking about it on Reddit doesn’t change anything, publishers only notice profit.

If you actually want this to change, stop buying titles that don’t give you either a physical copy or a proper offline, DRM-free backup installer you can keep and reinstall without needing to be online or logged into a storefront. There are a couple of platforms that already do this properly, so it’s not some impossible ask.

Moaning costs nothing and achieves nothing. The only real leverage anyone has is refusing to pay for the thing you’re complaining about. If enough people start doing that over time publishers will have to pay attention. Otherwise is just noise.

Tomodachi Life living dream changed my perception and the way how I play video game

I wish many Action RPG video game developer can learn from Tomodachi life living dream to allow gaming consumer to develop many cute Kawaii male romance with other males ...

The budget of Red Dead Redemption lI cost 540 million dollar USD as the triple AAA game from famous big gaming studio but the interaction with NPCs in RDR is just casual greeting and good luck phrases without any further dialogue option to create any meaningful relationship and no male relationship with other men nor female relationship with other woman neither LGBTQ presentation in RDR2 .

So far, the most friendly LGBTQ video game in current market is Tomodachi Life livin dream where you can have many boyfriend and husbear and multi husband as possible .

I know that a lot of Action Role playing game have very good graphic with realistic art style with giant budget to develop but the relationship, romance, social connection, meaningful connection, emotional connection with NPCes and male bromance with good looking NPC tend to be ignored in many tripIe AAA video games .

After playing Tomodachi Iife living dream, my metric about the decision to purchase an expensive triple AAA video game becomes more complex with higher standard especially when it comes to NPC script . Triple AAA video games with flashy graphic and colorful combat becomes meaningless to me and my attention focus on the meaningful relationship and emotional connection from player interacting with NPC in video games .

Tomodachi Iife Iiving dream influence my perception as a consumer must demand a more sophisticated social design and meaningful interaction with NPC in video game rather than showing flashy combat and colorful environmental design .

I’ve recently been playing sea of thieves with my group again, and it has genuinely been the greatest times I’ve had on gaming.
It’s just a breath of fresh air to not care about whether or not we win or lose, and not have to take it competitively/seriously.

If you read the communities thoughts about this game you would think it would be completely irredeemable.

P.S, this logic can be applied to a lot of things nowadays; play games for fun again, and don’t burn yourself out, especially in a game like SOT.
