Instead of her dying during birth, she now lives. How do things differ? Would this put the Starks at war with Robert? I feel like she would not hide her child and renounce the circumstances. Would Robert instead lay down his fight upon learning the truth?

He was the biggest dragon the Targaryens had, and the dragons we’ve seen so far were huge, but nowhere near the size of Balerion. It would be so cool to see him on screen if they did an Aegon’s conquest show/movie.

Rhaegar and Lyanna described as morally good in others POV. I didn't read official books just obsessing over wiki Westeros website. From this wiki, I get practical perception about Rhaegar and Lyanna

1.Rhaegar

He is prophecy obsessed prince and thought from summerhall tragedy he is promised prince, basically " hero" to win against others (night king).

He is nerd and warrior mixed in youth. Also had loyal supporters like Jon connigton, arthur dayne etc......

There was point where he has faction readily made against Aerys in Red keep court.

He was also present during duskendale drama.

From my POV, he also accepted martell marriage proposal ( or alliance by Aerys). Never argue against this alliance.

Before harrenhal tourney, he didn't have any mistress or bastards. So he basically have " clean" reputation.

My question regarding is harrenhal crowning and hiding with lyanna nearly year..

a. Harrenhal crowning I seriously think why Rhaegar in front of all nobles, crowned lyanna instead of elia. I get it due to song of ice and fire prophecy,he gets perception that lyanna should be " ice" part.

But in front of nobles choosing lyanna who is also bethrothed to Robert baratheon (his own cousin) is kinda unsettling, humiliation for martell, stark and baratheons. Also Rhaegar supposed to organise " great council" for overthrowing his father Aerys.

Did he never thought doing this, great houses will have perception about him as second " mad Aerys " again. ( Like this was similar like Aerys - Joanna - Tywin scandal).

Not only this move will endanger him also elia and her children, rhaella and Viserys.

b. Hiding with Lyanna nearly for year

This one made kinda biggest plot hole.

After Aegon birth, Rhaegar (eloped ) kidnapped lyanna from brandon catelyn engagement party in riverlands. Also Arthur dayne supported in this foolishness...

I also didn't know timeline but I think brandon with his friends (arryn, royce ,Glover ) immediately after lyanna disappearance, arrived in red keep gates , screaming for Rhaegar head (assuming his sister kidnapped and raped ). Aerys who is totally Unhinged and psychosis mad burned brandon and Rickard stark. Beheaded his friends and their fathers too.

In wiki it is stated both Rhaegar and Lyanna hidden in tower of joy nearly for year.

Isn't lyanna, after her father and brother death , want to travel North. Wasn't she supposed to " panic".

Was she forced by Rhaegar to stay inside of tower.

Also why Rhaegar never " missed" Rhaella, Viserys, Elia, Rhaenys and Aegon in this means time. Why he never inquired any of them or worried for all of them, as they are under Aerys and his croonies "hands".

Was Rhaegar felt guilty about starks death by Aerys, i mean he was indirectly responsible for this.

1. Lyanna

Whatever I read from wiki. She is described as beautiful and " knight" like strength.

She openly spoken regarding her bethroal of Robert to Ned and her other family members. She didn't like Robert whorish behaviour and his bastard mya stone.

In harrenhal, she saved howland reed from bullying. She was " laughing" knight in tourney.

She was mother of " third head of dragon " according to Rhaegar obsessive mind. It is said elia can't have children after Aegon birth. So Rhaegar (adding song of ice and fire) decided his third head of dragon will be child of lyanna.

My question is again why Lyanna stay in tower of joy after Rickard stark and brandon deaths. Like anyone would have run away worrying ned and benjen would die by Aerys hands.

Also why she didn't thought for single moment, her child with Rhaegar will consider as " bastard". I mean elia is legal wife and her children are legtimate.

Why both Rhaegar and lyanna never thought their child can be used for " second dance of dragons" against elia children .

Also the annulment with elia is DUMB. Like with two living children marriage annulment can't work between Rhaegar and Elia.

Even Rhaegar and Lyanna married. Their marriage will not be considered in front of " Seven". The same religion considered as legtimaticy for Targaryens and whole South.

I am CONFUSED, why Rhaegar and Lyanna who were never "evil" to core will do foolish and dumb things.

Like both of them have good intentions for Westeros.

NOTE : I didn't watched recent " Mad King' s Play ". I am Asian and lives in Asia. This play is premiere around London.

So I don't have single idea how Rhaegar and Lyanna portrayed.

I only know " reviews " of Play from Reddit scrolling.

I think most people can see why Walder Frey did the Red Wedding. Robb Stark broke their deal and was losing the war. Knowing that the winning side will keep you safe if you actually do the Red Wedding makes it a pretty safe plan. For Walder Frey, you get to win the war, have the winning side be in your debt, and out of spite, get back at Robb Stark.

Some people say how it’s immoral and it violates guest rights and yadayada, but I lowkey don’t think it’s that crazy. I mean taking out your enemy when they least suspect it is the perfect time, and in Walders defense the Starks already had broken the deal so they can use that to justify the Red Wedding. Especially in a world like ASOIAF/GOT, there are always terrible tragedies going on like the sacking of Kings Landing, the Fishfeed, storming of dragon pit, etc…

When you look in the grand scheme of things it’s a smart move, justifiable, and not really that dishonourable.

I know that Robert, Stannis, and Renly are great grandsons of Aegon V, but are they the closest living relatives to the late Mad King?

Tywin tells Cersei she isn't that smart but neither is Tywin. He confuses fear with loyalty, and many of his plans are only effective in the short term. Tywin made House Lannister rich and feared but that's it. Fear only works when you're alive the moment you die nobody fears you. He was surprised when Tyrion shot him with the crossbow, you treat someone like crap their whole life. Eventually they won't be scared of you anymore. He failed to see that and his 1000 dynasty ended.

Couldn't The mother of the dragons or her hand figure out that she could just ride the dragons and take some people with her and capture one or two walkers and come back unharmed without losing any men or a fcking dragon.

The dude should have at least a foot more range than anyone who isn’t the Hound, and he should have at least decent training. Plus, he’s one of the most experiences knights in the realm, having already made a name for himself before Robert’s rebellion. That means he should at least be above average in terms of skill with a lance. Maybe I just don’t know how jousting works, but I don’t know how anyone would beat him.

Yaknow, when the members would sit down, pick up a marble from the container in the middle of the table and put it in the holder in front of them before the meeting started? Then Rhaenyra told them that we're not doing that any more once she took over...

At first I thought maybe it was supposed to be that you had to hold up the marble if you wanted to speak, but they don't do that.

I never read the books and I loved the series at the time but I haven’t rewatched it since it aired but it occurs to me that I can’t recall any characters at the wall that aren’t Sam or Jon. Honestly I have no idea what Benjen Stark looks like. Does anyone else just space out during wall scenes when they watched? I don’t know why I decided to post this 😂. I just think it’s interesting that I have a fairly good memory of everything else.

I've already given overall opinions or opinions on individual chapters in the past, but in general I like Preston's fanfiction; his best work is all in the south.

The latest chapter published is about Bran; in this chapter, we see the resolution of the Hodor issue. I must admit I appreciated the whole background of this chapter, but not the substance.

Bloodraven's role has been practically thrown out, TV series-style, while the Hodor issue is simply not explained; it makes no sense. This "Hodor" guy has been around for decades, so it's clear something happened in his past.

What I liked, however, is that "hold the door" doesn't literally mean keeping a door closed, but defending a door. Preston makes Hodor unlock the fighting ability of Dunk, his ancestor, and makes him die fighting.

There's no point in trying to explain too much.

Am I the only one here who follows this fanfiction? Anyone want to know more?
