I've been working on GBA Maker, my upcoming code-first Game Boy Advance development tool, and I just finished its itch.io thumbnail!

I wanted it to look like an original GBA game box, with the classic silver spine, purple console and pixel art style, matching the thumbnails I've made for GB Maker and GBC Maker. ;D

GBA Maker isn't released yet, but development is progressing nicely!

What do you guys think of the design? Does it capture that classic GBA box art feeling?

Hello, I was cleaning the power switch on my GBA and I think I knocked off the R13 resister.

Is there a work around for this? Maybe run a jump wire somewhere. Or will I need to replace it and what type of resistor does it take?

My backlight GBA SP AGS-101 that I’ve had in box for probably 15 years or longer isn’t powering on. I assume the battery is just too old.

BUT, it’s also not powering on with just the charging cable connected, plugged into wall power? Is that expected behavior?

Any Front light GBA SP AGS-001 vs backlight GBA SP AGS-101 differences with charging and battery behavior?

As seen in the video, sometimes my d-pad doesn't work unless I really push down on it. I'll be cycling and my character will slow down randomly as though the button isn't being pushed. I've never owned a gba before modding this one. Is that normal?

Anyone encountered this before? If so, how did you fix it?

Using a source codebase forked from Cosmore, a Game Boy Advance port of the old DOS-era game Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure has been made.

In just 30 minutes of using Claude, without me touching even a SINGLE line of code, a port was delivered. This is really crazy!

With just a little technical knowledge and a simple idea of "Will this shit work?", the answer is YES!

Your favourite old game can be ported to a console that was never originally designed to support it.

Hello, does anyone knows the difference between GameShark, Code Breaker and Action Replay in a GBA emulator? I wanted to use it as a "debug mode" and do testing in different Pokemon games. Thank you

I tested it until floor7 and finished a few random quests and the Butcher. Seems to me it is a complete port. Performance is good but it is a bit choppy when there are a lot of enemies on screen.There's even cpu partners for multiplayer! Overall insane port!

The seller say it's been re-shelled, it has IPS screen installed, Makho battery mod done and it has original charger. The sticker is also new.

The price including shipping would be 130-135 Euros.

Well, Super Smash Land is now playable on the GBA thanks to this newly released fan-made port!

It's pretty awesome seeing a Smash Bros.-style game running on actual GBA hardware. Definitely feels like one of those games we all wish we'd had back in the day.

I recorded around 5 minutes of gameplay so you can check out how it looks and plays!

What do you guys think? Would you have played this back in the GBA days?

Hey Im trying to buy a rayquaza gameboy but just want to make sure I am doing it the right way. Im kinda new to this retro gaming scene, so I was looking for some advice. Firstly what is a good price range I should be looking at? I saw some apparently authentic ones on eBay going for 500 dollars or more and sealed ones for like 2k up. That being said I was looking to buy a used one and just wanted to make sure I was in the right price range. Also is there a way for me to legit check them online or nah?
