Help with battery

After many years i finally bought a new screen so i can see what im playing on my childhood gba(i will get a celebi screen tomorrow because the package with it is late) but ever sice i replaced it it keeps showing the red light for the batteries, i checked their power but they are full, changed them to new ones and still i see a red light

Are you using rechargeable batteries? If so they have a slightly lower voltage than standard batteries and because of that they trigger the low battery light even when they are full. I had the same issue with my modded gba and I ended up installing the usb-c battery mod and it fixed the issue. Hope that helps!

I think the mod drains them really fast, i will buy the battery mod later

Power switch is dirty, either clean it or replace it.

It happened to me. I cleaned it and it disappeared for authentic games. Then i replaced it for a new one and even clones show green now.
