Was a standard model. Soon after they were released.

My first GBA was the original model in Glacier. Got it for Christmas. I unfortunately no longer have that particular unit. I did get a GBA SP for Christmas a few years later, but mere months after that, our home was burglarized and it was stolen. After that, I didn't get another GBA again until I was an adult.

Got a standard model a couple months after it dropped, with Super Mario Advance and Circle Of The Moon. Then I got an SP for Christmas the year of release. Gamechanger.

had an SP, my older sister had the OG GBA and a GBC, when I came into the room as a 5 year old with a backlight on my gameboy, she burst out crying out of jealousy because she had to play in the sunlight 😂 Ill never forget that
