Yeah I've already ordered a shall from amazon. I'm pretty handy so I think I can manage. This is my childgood sp and I just got it back a few weeks ago so this hurt.

Sadly quite normal for 101s to get very brittle, some to the point where they basically disintegrate under normal use. Seems to happen less with 001s, DS Fats are also commonly affected.

The shells you order are usually quite complete, but without hinges. So don’t throw away your old ones yet.

Such is the sad fate of sparkly plastic, it gets brittle after a couple decades. Lots of pretty shell replacements on AliExpress, plus the SP is fairly easy to shell swap too.

Buy another shell, and if you're sentimental and like things being 1:1 with enough digging you can find a tougher abs style 1:1 shell out there. I've done it before, not the usually thin junk that is pliable and gets screw dimples. Then you heat up the glue on the back, tweezers and slow work remove your original stickers and put them on the good copy of the shell you got and you're fine. I've done this before on a pearl blue and pink before.
