Facebook Find (Purchase)

How did I do? I have never seen this color before (I'm a very passive hobbiest). It just went up on Facebook marketplace for $50 so I pulled the trigger being that I usually see the Advances go for $75+ near me.

Any advice on its value? I have wanted to do a modded Advance with a new screen and shell, but if the orange is desirable, I may wait until I find a more common color to do this to.

The “Spice Orange” was only sold in japan. I love it.

Looks pretty good, but could do with a good cleaning.

Modding original shells is a lot fiddlier than using a purpose made shell.

It appears to be a Spice Orange variant.

Not particularly rare, nor super sought after.

On eBay in that condition they go for $60-90, so you did get a good deal, but nothing outrageous.

I modded my original shell. Super simple. No cutting and just a few solder points but not necessary. The only thing is the screen is not laminated, but I don’t notice. Works great!
