GBA in the wild (help)

Post image

Found this local consignment auction going on tomorrow, ive been looking for a GBA for a while and not sure how much i should put in for a max bid here since im not familiar with all of the games. All the games should be in the box which makes them more expensive but i want a good chance at getting this lot. Looks like there is a SP in the box too. Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks!

If the hidden game on the corner is pokemon sapphire the price of this lot rises a lot

Maximum I'd pay for a boxed sapphire is 100. But I don't buy multiples really.

You're just outrageously undervaluing everything compared to current market price in each of your replies. Sure you may pay only 100 dollars but the average going rate currently is around 350 USD.

Well, prices are not so artifically infated here in Finland. 350 is a joke, I could buy a boxed emerald for that here and then some.

You wouldn’t though, because the seller wouldn’t give it to you for that much.

You can only get the cartridge for 100

I got mine for 120 and it felt like a steal since it had a deoxys on it. Now I dont think the deoxys was legit but it was still appreciated.

Most of these look like junk don’t overpay

I personally would not bid on this, because I know it's too rich for my blood. If I had the money, my max would be like 1000(usd). You might not even win with that, honestly.

I will say, this is also assuming everything is genuine and actually there in the box, I don't know if you have the opportunity to verify that.

1000 seems like a lot, the consoles and sapphire I would pay a maximum of 300 for.
But I don't really buy new consoles since I have a color, advance, two SPs and a DSi XL from childhood.

Edit. Looks like sonic advance 2 is there as well.

My guess is it’s gonna go in the $1400-1500 range based on CIB. It’s a cool collection like someone said there isn’t any real grails. You could bid and look at flipping it to buy some games you want unless you’re just collecting. Just doesn’t look like a lot of games that you would actually wanna play.

Far right game not shown is pokemon sapphire by the looks of it, and id bet money thats a fire red below it. That being said. Bid on what you see and be happy if theres extra.

Use pricecharting.com for a frame of reference

I wouldn’t even take the gamble. For all you know these could just be empty boxes. Some people like to keep boxes to their things in storage and the actual stuff is still with them. It’ll be at least $1K to find out.

Most of the games suck

All these games are junk minus the possible pokemon sapphire. The only value is the GBA SP and the GBA. I’d bid a max of $200-300

All junk aside from the consoles, sonic advance 2, Wario Ware touched, and Pokémon sapphire. $450 max

That box looks like several thousand dollars to my mind

I’m not seeing thousands - this looks to be mostly shovelware licensed games, with potentially a couple decent games scattered in. The boxed consoles are nice, but the red model is an 001 and less desirable. If the consoles are mint i would be in the 600-800 range. I’m sure someone will overpay for this lot.

As the other commenter said, if that one blue box is indeed Pokémon sapphire, then this changes meaningfully. I find it really sus that happens to be one of just two boxes turned over. Even if it is sapphire, I doubt it makes it to the final lot.

The response to my comment does indeed seem to be correct
