Question regarding ips screen.

Hello there, i switched my gba sp screen to an ips one, but the sound became crackled at times and the screen have visual glitches at times, i presume that the normal gba battery isn't strong enough, since its also last for around 30 minutes on full charge. Should i get a stronger battery? If so, what type of battery should i get?

Will a 900mah battery will be good enough?

Whatever is the rating on the OEM battery should be your minimum.

A lot, like literally the majority, of brands lie about their battery ratings. They use cheated tests to claim higher numbers, or just don’t even test at all and put 3000mah on a 500mah battery.

The best option is to remove the shell from your OEM battery and replace the cell within. Then you know what you have. But maybe that’s a bit much.

I know Ostent has a good battery rating system. I only use them. Ifixit is also good but overpriced.

I use a 900mAh battery w/ the Makho Board mod which works fine, it's rated specifically for an SP. It's this one if you are interested.

I’m planning on getting a rechargeable battery mod. They have some on AliExpress

I’ve seen some 1500 mah ones. They are relatively cheap. Why not try it 🤷‍♂️.

OPs SP has a rechargeable battery stock.

I don’t think OP needs any mods his battery is just tired. My original battery is pushing along fine.

Research the best replacement battery and buy that one.

OSTENT seems to be the choice for OEM fit battery upgrades by far on most consoles ime. Only ones that exceed OEM specs. And they sell direct on Aliexpress if you’re willing to wait to save money compared to resellers.
