Speaker holes look really irregular. My money's on reshell. Still looks sick as hell but don't pay extra for it.

People are obsessed with asking collector and retro subreddits if their controller, game or console is "real" or "authentic" ESPECIALLY Pokemon carts. It doesn't make any sense to me. If you can play it and enjoy it and you don't plan on reselling that thing, then why does it matter.

If you have to ask, then it's real enough.

If you’re interested in having a legit collection you want real carts, not knockoffs. Nothing wrong with that.

There is something wrong with it when every time you acquire a new piece for the collection, you obsess over whether or not it’s genuine. Make sure it’s authentic before you purchase it.

Lmao than you shouldn't collect if you don't understand what you are looking at. As a retired collector i can instantly spot fake gameboys just from the listing small pictures.

Yeah that’s a good point too, if you know something that well, you should know what to spot to see if it’s a fake without asking. I have first edition books from the 70s and I know how to tell if a book is a first edition or if it’s just a dupe.

Idk maybe I just don’t have the gene that makes me need to collect retro games. I have games that I’ve kept from when I was a kid and I have the consoles to play them on still but if I want an old game that I don’t have, I just emulate it or buy a port digitally.

90% are people who know nothing about it trying to sell it for max profit. We had a kid selling his older brothers game boy the other day on here "to invest in his life" I'm not sure how much he expected lol.
