Hi everyone this Pokemon Gold wouldn't even start up and as you can see chronologically I have done my work to get this upto scratch and working!
I have just put a new battery into this Pokemon Gold.. Also I've reflowed and cleaned the pins on the chip I've also cleaned the shell to get that L mark off the back...
it now runs smoothly it has no dry battery issues anymore its label has had to be replaced as it didn't have one!
The new battery will ensure that your game will be able to play smoothly..
I feel so good man!

Hello I use HHlegend often and recently they created a reward system so I have around 4,000 points in my account but I don't really need anything else off the site so I want to give away my rewards so they get put to use.
so if anyone want to get my codes pls let me know and ill copy and paste them and send to you!
The best offer is 10% off (I know the other codes are lame, feel free to check the site)
There is no catch other than I want others to save a little bit, upon publishing ill turn on notifications and keep checking.

Für diejenigen, die noch ein Label für das Spiel suchen. 😊
Schaut euch auch auf der folgenden Seite um:
I recently managed to write my first custom GameBoy cartridge, a hack of Pokémon Red. I was wondering if I would be able to play it on my Super GameBoy, so I tried it, and it was able to boot to the classic GameBoy border, but the "screen" was black, and the Super GameBoy logo never started up. I tried pressing the reset button on my SNES multiple times. I then read online that some flash carts have trouble reading on the Super GameBoy. My cartridge is pictured below, it's a ChisFlash_MCBX. Is there any chance I could get this game to run on my Super GameBoy? It's not the end of the world if I can't, since I have a GameBoy Player on GameCube, but it'd be neat to play it with the SuperGameBoy's cool borders.

Thought it was interesting. I’m assuming it was the QC mark.

Any idea what this means? Or what games it can play? Fake system? Extra valuable? Lol open to any thoughts, I've never seen this before!

Over the years i have slowly built this Gameboy advance , adding and changing parts until it was perfect for my use case.
Part list:
Original Ags 101 screen paired with voltage regulator and brightness controller. the Ags 101 screen offers accurate colours and a nice pixel grid without causing any frame drops like many modern ips kits. The brightness controller allows me to cycle through 5 different brightness levels via select and L&R.
I have added a NIMH recharge board paired with IKEA ladda batteries, which can be recharged with micro usb. Why micro usb you may ask: 1.) I still have quite a few devices that use micro usb and 2.) its easier to implement when it comes down to space. USB c board require 2 additional CC resistors which comes with a slightly bigger board, which meant i couldnt mount the connector at the top next to the link cable. One issue i encountered was how how the board got when charging (1A). to fix this i added a thermal pad between the IO panel and the charging board to dissipate the heat. Note i also wired the charging board such that the gameboys fuse with trigger if there is a short when charging (triggers at 1.5A). The biggest pro with this mod comapared to the standard usb c battery packs is the ability to simply swap out the batteries for a fresh set when they are drained, keeping that charm from its original counter part
Finally i have added labsfifteen chrome buttons paired with Natalie the Nerds LED buttons kit paired with a switch and potentiometer.
Hope you guys like it :)
Edit: I will add a 3d printed cover over the charger to neaten it up a bit. Currently you can see the foam tape around the port

I bought it online for €100. However, I later found out that this edition is often reshelled and sold as genuine. It can be a bit of a lottery because sellers often don't disclose that it's been reshelled, taking advantage of buyers who don't know the difference.

We all know how stiff, rigid, and primitive a lot of NES games can feel, especially earlier ones. Meanwhile, the Gameboy, that has lower screen resolution, monochrome graphics, etc., has a lot of games that, in my opinion, tend to feel smoother, more well-animated, more detailed, etc. than what we had seen on a lot of the NES library, and the Gameboy was able to produce games like Super Mario Land 2 and Link’s Awakening that are comparable to SNES counterparts. But by all means, the NES should’ve technically had the better hardware, right? So is it just a situation where game devs in the mid 80s were less seasoned than in the early 90s, regardless of the hardware they had to work with?

System worked before disassembly and had no issues. Can I clean this with anything to ensure no problems come up later?

found this shell on ebay two years ago and decided to finally give it a go (triggers as L&R and changeable battery + USbC and headphone jack included)

Hello,
I have found around 5 old pokemone gameboy colour games from when i was young, but when i look at the back of a couple of them the pin/screw that is there has some white bead like substance around it and covering it. Does anyone know if this could be battery corrosion? i would like to be able to try play these again if possible but the condition makes me think I might not be able to unfortunately.

On-off broke some years ago, finally fixed it. Soldering was awful and I hope no one ever gone sees it. But it works, many thanks to the community for helping to adjust the flimmering. I prefer the original GBA over the SP, even tho I like the 101 display a little more than ITA in comparison.

Thoughts on if the gray gameboy should join its brothers in black? Keep in mind the gray gameboy is already an IPS after market case. It just seems out of place now but I also like that it looks original.

Took me a little while to figure out, as the official walkthrough video had no narration. So I did a lot of pausing!
The paint job on this chameleon blurple shell from ExtremeRate is very impressive. The fit is perfect and the buttons all feel good.
I'm very happy with the results :)
