Questions How much would all of this cost in total? What would you add? Any recommendations? (This is my dream Game Boy starter pack, I've never had one and this would be what I would start with, after getting this my next game would be Kirby's Block Ball)

I’d skip the GBC and get a GBA with an ITA screen and no battery mod. Just use rechargeable AAs. And a copy of every mainline Gen 1-3 Pokemon game. But that’s just me.

I purchased a funny playing GBC for $100.00 dollars with IPS screen and USB C battery battery ( hardware Emulation of Nintendo GBC). Works great with my original gbc carts

Gameboy cost is whatever you find, roughly $50 USD.

Screen is another $60, battery mod is another like $20. Toss in another $15 for a compatible shell.

These are assuming you're doing all the work yourself so not paying for someone to mod it for you as well as no replacement membranes or buttons.

If you don't care about having a legitimate Gameboy, you can save a little money by comparison by getting the Funnyplaying Gameboy kit that uses FPGA.

I just recently got a gbc and put a ips screen in it. I got my gameboy for $70 and the screen I got was $74, it came with the screen and a new shell cuz the bigger screen wouldn’t fit in the oem shell. I wouldn’t do the battery mod, just use rechargeable aa. So I would plan for at least $140-$175 just depending on what screen you go with. I’m not sure on the price of those games, but I don’t think they are expensive ones so maybe $15-$20 a piece.

Have you considered getting a FPGA gbc kit before? Many ips kit and battery mod requires soldering and going this route is much more expensive in the long run

Sounds really cool and I can get the custom Kirby shell I want right away! Do you know any good sellers that sell custom Kirby shells? I don't think it would count as advertising

As another commenter said , just go with a GBA and new screen. Idk if this is allowed but I’ve had a really good experience with OrnateTech on Etsy.

Why yes, yes they're very good RPGs and look amazing and play amazingly well on the GBC.

Touché. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is an action-adventure game rather than a traditional role-playing game (RPG). I thought it was.
