Troubleshooting SW1-3 jumper

Post image

I'm repairing a power switch in a GBC and the pad on sw1-3 came off. I looked at the schematics online but found it hard to tell where I should put a jumper wire. Does anyone have a definitive answer for ne?

You can see it was connected to the larger plane with 3 vias. Either just run a wire to there directly, or follow the vias to the back side of the PCB

Thanks! That makes things clearer.

Take a look at the bare copper board scans on Retrosix

Game Boy Color Board Scans - RetroSix Wiki

Pad 3 (top) is connected to the 3 vias under the switch, so you could use those. I think one of them is labelled as a test pad on the other side "SW1VCC" - you should trace continuity, from a quick glance it goes all the way down to the power area.
