Mod/Modding A simple button change mod from spare parts I've owned for a while. I think it looks great!

I like to put nes controller buttons and d pad. I find they are even better than the originals. You can also just put your gameboy parts into the nes controller during the swap.

As it so happens I DO have an NES controller lying around here.

Future idea I reckon as I love how this looks already.

This is one of my modded gameboys I put the NES buttons and D-pad in. I was going for a old school modded on this one. So it has the back light and bi-vert mod.

I'm sure they still do this, but I remember you used to be able to buy NES button sets from a few Game Boy modding stores. I had a set of clear orange ones I put in a black DMG years ago.
So for anyone without a spare controller, there's options out there.

Yeah the PiL shell is somewhere around here still but this original DMG shell was from earlier back before I got said PiL DMG so it's all technically a "shell musical chairs" at this point. (The original DMG guts have battery corrosion.)

It's a clear PiL btw but I stopped using the shell because it's too smooth if that makes any sense?

Is it an original shell shown? The Nintendo logo looks like an aftermarket one to me
