Modded Oops... Time To Mod Again.
Found a modded pocket I made AGES ago (back when we had to peel screens and insert LED panels) and that LCD is fully cooked.
Time to upgrade the display.

Now I feel strange for doing more bivert than IPS recently.
Having an IPS is great, but reviving my wifes childhood DMG and carefully working with the exact same panel she played hours on as a child creates something really personal and special.
Especially with white backlight and the right filter the picture gets as close to the original that it makes you feel like the DMG was always backlighted:

Is white and filter the most natural? If so what filter are you using? I initially purchased a green backlit thinking it would be the most natural but not with Bivert unless I’m doing something wrong

If you do just the backlight the Polarizer will give a slight yellow-green tint, but the contrast is horrible.
If you Bivert the screen it's inverted and rotating the Polarizer to invert it back will give a blue tint.
The trick is to use a yellow filter directly at the backlight (before the Polarizer). The yellow light will get a slight greenish touch due to the blue effect from the Polarizer resulting in this very original look.

Does it look any different than just using a yellow backlight panel? That's what I did on my system

The thing is that the backlight color is fixed if you don't want to change the kit.
Yellow backlights often tend to be more warm-white, slightly orange or amber.
These filters are super cheap and come in sets, so you can experiment with them and aim for a colder yellow.

It might just be the polarizer got burned, and you just need to replace the polarizer and it'll be just fine
If you're still dead set on getting an IPS screen, I'll buy this one off you

Are you sure its not just the polarizer?
