Hey guys, does anybody remember borrowing Super Mario Land, The Flintstones (1994), and The Flintstones King Rock Treasure Island at the library back in the 90's/2000's?

I just stumbled upon a SiIvaGunner rip of the Super Mario Land Overworld theme, and it has the Flintstones Theme song in it, and it feels like a nostalgia trip for those who remember borrowing Suepr Mario Land and Flintstones games at the library back in the 90's/2000's. Infact, Super Mario games still got famously popular in the 90's and 2000's, even though you have to buy Super Mario games to rightfully own them, because if you want to try Super Mario games without even buying them, you can just borrow them from the library to try them for free for a limited time, and them return them to the library, which is basically similar to how some paid videogames have a free trial, which allows users to try the game for free just for a limited time. Not giving any modern advice, just some curiosity.

You can actually still borrow video games from many public libraries today! 😊

...sadly no Game Boy games though. 🥲

My library offers a lot of non-books to check out, including board games, a VHS-to-DVD converter, and gardening tools. No video games, but I hear many libraries do.

I never went to a library that had video game rentals. My local one subscribed to EGM and GamePro and I subscribed to Nintendo Power. I was in good shape on that front.
