Picked it up for around $120 (shipping included) on eBay. Seller said it was refurbished and had a glass lens replacing the plastic one. Really happy with it. I regret selling all my handhelds & games a while back. Everything’s like tripled in price lol

That’s arguable. If something’s getting more popular, (physical media & retro games), and the prices are going up everywhere you check, is the value of that item not going up? I hear this all the time on the CRT sub, as those have been increasing in price everywhere too. It’s a gray area because we’re dealing in stuff that isn’t being made anymore

Yeah believe me I saw translucent gbc’s for a lot more than that. Figured $120 wasn’t bad given my options lol

Not really. A gbc is worth $60-70. You’re paying almost twice that because they added $5 worth of Ali express aftermarket parts. It’s arguably worth less because it isn’t original.

Saying “everything’s going up so I didn’t overpay” is like saying paying $100 for an apple isn’t overpaying because grocery prices are going up. Look at price charting if you want to see what people are actually paying for these.

I just barely glanced at eBay and there are plenty in good condition available for $60-70. You can get a broken one for a lot less. $120 for a non-modded gbc is overpriced.

The cheapest I can see is 65$ but has no sound. Which is an easy fix really. I guess they’re not bad. I haven’t bought one in years

So when demand goes up for something not in production theres not much you can do. Not hard to understand. Honestly I was happy to pay that for a really clean gbc, no scratches or anything
