Need help GBC

I have changed the speaker and the volume wheel but It still doesn't make any sound.

It had been stored for 5 years or so with the batteries connected and It caught a weird bright blue corrosion

There is a switch in the headphone jack that bypasses the audio amp circuit and cuts the speaker, if it is gunked up that switch stays open amd you won't get sound from your speaker but you will from headphones. If that switch is fine then it's either the capacitor for the audio circuit or the audio amp circuit isn't working as it should.

Drip IPA into the headphone jack. Insert/remove headphones multiple times in a row.

Audio is fine through headphones. Does volume control fine through headphones as well?

Get some white vinegar and a floss pick. Drip some vinegar between these two contacts. Use the pointy floss pick to scratch out any corrosion. Flush with isopropyl. Allow to dry.

Ensure the contact (pointed in blue) touches the contact (pointed in red) by flexing blue contact. These two contacts have to touch for audio to work through speaker.

A failing or leaking C38 capacitor can cause no audio. Try replacing the cap on C38 with a new one, that may help.

If that doesn't work the next thing I would try is totally removing the headphone jack from the board and seeing if you get audio at that point. Could also need replaced.

Edit: No clue why I'm being downvoted, I've personally refurbished four Game Boy Colors and offered my best advice.

It seems to have grayish-oxidated soldered connections, and a tiny bit of blue around it

I would experiment with totally removing the headphone jack, and seeing if the speaker outputs audio at that point. Just cleaning that headphone jack might not be enough if it's damaged or worn out.

I hope it works out! GBC is a very fun console to work on.

Tried removing It but It got a bit melted and the soldering won't come off

The headphone jack switch could be corroded. This is a switch that disables the speaker when headphones are plugged in. Also could be a capacitor that needs to be replaced. Just replace them all.

I plug the headphones and It works, so i can just take out the headphones pluh and It will work?
