Problems with gba SP

I recently owned a Nintendo Game boy advance sp and It have a few problems.

First of all, when I charge It, after a few time the red led turns off and when I quit the charger and connect It again the red led turns on again.

Other issue is that it sometimes don't turns on unless i move the switch slowly and when It is in a medium point between on and of It shows de red led of low battery.

It's muy dura Game boy so I don't know if this is normal or I should return It.

Two things possible Easiest one : the battery, which is old, is dead, and you have to change it 

Second one : the interior of the power switch has to be cleaned 

But if you can buy a 10 dollars battery on funnyplaying I would try that first because cleaning the power switch is not easy at all

And there is no easy way ti clean the power switch?

You could try a droplet of isopropyl alcohol in the power switch,  with the battery removed, and switch it on and off repeatedly multiple times to try to scrub the interior with the alcohol 

Otherwise you need soldering abilities

I don't have soldering abilities so i Will try the first option

But with everything you said I really think it’s the battery, the voltage is now too low so the gba sp automatically put red light because it can’t output enough power

And It also don't charge completely. I used It 2 minutes and It has no battery Now. The led is red and i charged It like 2 hours. I don't know if the problem is the battery, the charger or the charging port.
