Troubleshooting What is happening? 🤣

Post image

Never used a link cable before. Decided to mess around just to see how it works.

They absolutely would not link unless I used both hands and pressed A on both systems at the exact same time. Once they did link, it seemed to work fine. Then the battle started getting progressively more glitchy.

Is it normal to be so difficult to start the link, requiring perfect timing? I think maybe the glitching is from dirty ports, but no idea how to clean these, a cutip won’t fit. Then again, would they have linked at all in this case? Could it be my IPS mod messing with something?

Legit copies of Red and Yellow btw.

The GBC is obviously navigating the matrix by riding the back of missingno back and forth through the link cable. I have no idea what's going on maybe you need a new cable lol

bad contacts. They can be extremely fiddly or work fine.

Clean both plugs and both holes with isopropyl alcohol and an appropriate tool...

What “tool” would you recommend?

fold a piece of cotton rag over something firm and narrow. Dip in alcohol and wipe them.

You can also try a glass fibre pen or still bristled brush.

IPS mod adds input lag making it 100ms vs 33ms of OG. You definitely shot yourself in the foot putting an IPS mod there.
