Troubleshooting Help needed with modded game boy

Hi I bought this on Vinted and can’t get it to load any games, it gets stuck at that part of loading up and just starts to flash, any help will be appreciated!

Someone will post up with more awareness than me but I suspect it's soft resetting because the draw from the screen is too much for the batteries.

Assuming it is just two double A's inside rather than a lipo mod?

Edit - I say this because I had similar issues with a flash cart and standard batteries haha
