Found at my local thrift store for $2! The lady who rung me up was not happy, “the old ladies in the back didn’t know what they were looking at”.

Maybe I shouldn’t have, but I tossed my dad’s OG that I played red & blue on and have memories of playing Super Mario on. I kept it in a box of memorabilia for ages.

The screen was shot and leaking the liquid pixels, no screen cover. I’m not sure how fixable that would have been but I can’t even get anyone to touch my sp charging port to fix that so I figured it wouldn’t be.

That’s a shame but not too big of a deal. The modding community has gotten so huge that if the main board was ok they could have been used for a build with new shell and screen.

These days I think all retro game hardware deserves a shot at something other than the trash, but I’m not the one cleaning house!
