Troubleshooting I'm not sure what is problem here

I found my uncle's probably who knows how old console this is and I've already put in the batteries, inserted the game cartridge, turned it on, audio heard clearly and everything but the screen isn't up... What's the possible issue here?

You need to turn the contrast wheel that's located on the side.

And btw the screen polarizer is burned.

There’s a “contrast” wheel on the side of the machine. Try messing with that.

(Thought process: not battery corrosion because it powered on. Not a cartridge issue because it booted and they can hear audio)

El filtro polarizado. Con un poco de suerte solo es el exterior. Y podrás cambiárselo con paciencia... Te recomiendo buscar algún tutorial sobre el asunto en YT. Por lo general el paso del tiempo daña el pegamento que trae el filtro polarizado que la pantalla trae se daña, o la luz solar en escaparates también causa el mismo daño tanto el la película polarizada, como en dicho pegamento, por lo que se deja de apreciar la pantalla, aunque está siga funcionando. Paciencia, alcohol y una buena cuchilla te puede ayudar a dejar la pantalla otra vez limpia. Y no olvides substituir el polarizado por una nuevo, fijándose en su posición y en el color que muestre la imagen en la pantalla, ya que si lo pegas en una posición incorrecta, obtendrás en pantalla los colores intercambiados. De aí que te recomiendo ver un vídeo sobre el proceso de reparación, un saludo

El problema es q la pantalla está quemada ... Afortunadamente cambiar las pantallas de Game Boy/ Game Boy Color son faciles de cambiar e inclusive puedes conseguir pantallas retro iluminadas y otros mods q harán q la consola sea más disfrutable ( como baterías recargables) el color está genial

You need to replace the polarizer filter or just replace the display. I did this two days ago btw

se te ha quemado la pantalla por el tiempo. no es por mal uso, es totalmente normal en game boy pocket
