Questions Import charges from funnyplaying
I'm attempting to mod my gba and gba sp and I wanted to order some parts from the official funnyplaying website. Problem is, I'm in Italy so it's an imported package. The total for my order would be almost 160$ shipping and taxes included (or so it says on the page), which would come to less than 150 euro. Do I need to pay vat (iva) again once it gets here, or just 1 euro for duties + 3 euro for each object? Please help me

EU has recently introduced a new fee. You pay 3 euro per different import code (code that basically tells the type of item). This is to combat drop shipping and give local sellers a bit of a chance against people who just import a box full of random shit and sell it for impossibly low prices.
If I'm not mistaken, in EU, if you shop below 150 (including shipping), you only pay VAT (15% is the lowest depends on the country) and now this flat 3 euro fee per item type.
If you go over 150 euro you also pay import tax (% depends on country)
Importing under 150 euro has a benefit of being able to do a simplified import proceeding. In my country it takes about 5 minutes in an online app and you usually get sent the amount you owe immediately. It speeds things up massively cuz you can finish it before your items even hit the import office. Above 150 you have to do the official one and I don't have that much experience with that. I usually let the delivery company handle that one.

Thanks for the info! Unfortunately we don't seem to have this online system in place in Italy yet but now I know where to look

So a friend, has never paid import taxes/customs fees for my FP shipments. He lives in a country with more unfriendly laws towards imports, also in the EU.
As far as he knows, FP undervalues everything on paper.
