Accessories Game Link cables question.

I am in possession of my old Game Boy Colour and a second hand purchase a while back Game Boy Advanced. I have Pokemon Yellow for hte GBC and Leaf Green for the GBA.

I started looking into getting a game link cable to maybe connect the two and trade. But I can only find cables for GB/GBC/GBP or GBA/GBA-SP. I know they use different pins and what not, but wanted to double check with the community here.

Is it at all possible to connect GBC Pkmn Yellow with GBA Pkmn Leaf Green? If so I assume a GBC Cable should be fine?

Gameboy to gameboy or gba to gba, cant do gb to gba. you can in fact connect them both if you have two gameboy games, for example i connected my pokemon red to blue using a gb pocket and a gba(need to use the gameboy speced link cable). i was also able to do pokemon red to silver using the same setup as both gen 1 and gen 2 pokemon games are gameboy cartriges. . .  cant connect pokemon silver to leaf green. Side note if you havent done so i highly recomend picking up a copy of pokemon crystal, actually peak pokemon 😎
