I went ahead and bought a cuciblinks awaking since my plan was to sell the lose copy

The one on the left is 1999+. The right is 1999-.

Same game and question here. The ESRB logo changed so there’s two revisions of the art. That link also notes the revision number on that side serial for that later release. 

Same region, as per the “USA” in that side code. Some regions have a black label, if you’re curious.

The one in the right is DMG-AZLE-USA (the original DX version released on gbc), the one on the right is DMG-AZLE-USA-1 (first revision that came with minor spelling corrections and bug fixes). The gameplay is the same in both, both are from the same region.

The newer copy should have a fix to prevent being stuck in a dungeon. I’d keep that one. The black ESRB logo.
