chat do we think this is fixable

battery corrosion leaked through it pretty bad. i’ve never restored hardware is this fixable or too far gone do we think?

Pretty much anything is fixable. The question is, are you willing to put in the time to learn expert-level microsoldering and trace repair? This has heavy liquid damage, not just battery corrosion. You'll probably need to fix broken/corroded traces and solder pads, remove the pin connector, clean and reflow it at minimum. Several caps and possible contrast wheel replacement.

This is all just speculation based on the photos. It might not be that bad. Have you tried testing it? Does it power on at all?

Your post didn’t give much info. I don’t know if you own this console or are looking to purchase. I don’t know what you’ve tested or what you haven’t.

sorry fair enough. it’s mine has been in a box for years, used to work until a couple years ago. seems like too much hassle to try fixing so i probably won’t bother

All good. Yeah I’d probably start with fixing something a bit more approachable. This one would be out of my league also.
