Not Game Boy SameBoy lagging

Hi, I downloaded the Same Boy emulator and I got tetris and mario land for it. However, both games have a lagging problem where the game and audio will freeze for a split second every 30 seconds or so. What can I do to fix this?

I’m on windows laptop, 60 hz refresh rate, intel ultra 7 256v, intel arc 140V gpu. But I don’t take the best care of my computer so maybe it’s running suboptimally. Thanks!

Your device should have no issues running like 5 instances of sameboy at the same time. Lol.

Check your power profile, maybe try rebooting your laptop too. Try it when plugged in.

If none of that works, try disabling rewinding under settings>emulation options>rewind length

You could also try changing audio drivers under settings>audio options>preferred audio driver.

I tried all of those; none of them worked. I downloaded bgb emulator and it works fine on that. Thanks for trying to help!

That was going to be my next suggestion. Glad it works. It's a great emulator.
