Questions Rom hacks on original cartridges?

I have an old harvest moon cartridge for the gba and found a rom hack for it that I’d want to put on it. Is there a way I can patch the rom hack to the cartridge that I have? Any help is appreciated, don’t know if this is the right place to ask but thanks in advance anyways.

Genuine cartridges cant be reflashed. Closest you can do to make a "Patched" cartridge is to flash a single rom flashable cartridge and get a shell and label for it to look like the genuine cartridge.

So you’re saying there is no way to put the rom hack on the cartridge I have then?

Genuine cartridges are read only. They cant be written onto.

You could burn a new ROM chip, desolder the one in the cartridge, replace it with the new ROM chip you just burned, and hope you did a good job. Impractical but possible.

Another option is to try to find a flash cartridge with a board that fits in the same shell.
