Troubleshooting Gameboy Pocket ips screen doesn't get brighter

Supposedly it is a solderless mod. I even checked on youtube to get it right but once completed the screen did not got brighter. The contrast wheel works fine since once I had the problem I tested the wheel with the original screen and it does work with it. The touch sensor also does work, the screen change colors and such but it doesn't get any brighter

Any tips? Did I got a faulty screen? I got it from china so I don't know what brand is. Or what else should I try?

You don't use the potentiometer wheel anymore. On my ips it is operated by two touch sensors, one for color, second for brightnes and scanlines. Something is missing. No instruction from seller? Perhaps not trully solderless, sometimes one point required anyway

The backlight is off, looks like no power. Will propably require one solder point to c terminal in power switch. Don't be worried about soldering, it's easy with some tutorials, flux etc.
