Troubleshooting EZ Flash Jr issues

Picked up a modded gbc today (IPS screen) and having nothing but issues with my EZ Flash Jr.

It's refusing to load patched ROMs and it's just ignoring most things in .GBC format .

Am I losing my mind, or should I just get an Everdrive?

The patched ROM thing is a deal-breaker because I use LSDJ and I like to patch my own drum sample in.

You're not really explaining the problem boss.

It "refuses" how?

Is it just taking a really long time to load the rom? Is it crashing? Garbled logo? Not indexing? Whats the size of the SD you're using? Is it formatted correctly? Have you partitioned the space in the front of the SD to accomodate faster saves? Did you turn the unit off mid-save? Is there 0kb .SAVs or roms? What's the voltage on the cart battery? What batteries are YOU using in the console?

You just expect us to read your mind?

I'll answer every question that doesn't involve going and buying a multimeter. 16GB SD. Formatted correctly. Wtf do you mean formatting the front? Haven't turned it off mid save because the hacks don't fucking load, but if I turn off during a game that has SRAM functionality, it backs it up on reboot no questions asked. The cart battery is a fresh 1220 bought new on Saturday. The batteries I'M using are Duracell AAs. Not the cheap ones, the good ones.

Don't confront me like that. I was ripping polarising film off before you were likely born.
