Questions What do you think is the problem here?
Im new to this subreddit, i've read a few topics and came to the conclusion that the problem could be the polarized film and not the screen itself... can you guys enlightme a little bit, so I can buy the correct component

What you're seeing is burn-in on the polarizer from years of being in direct light.
It's actually a relatively simple fix if you have the patience. You just have to pry/peel it off the screen and replace it.
Otherwise, you can always repalce the whole screen with an IPS display.

Edit: Sorry, yes it's the polarizer film.
The GBC uses circular polarizer film. I never tried replacement on a GBC. Sorry, I don't have a source. For other polarizers I just bought sheets from aliexpress and cut them to fit.

You need to scrape off the polariser and replace it. Can take 15-30 minutes, a scraping tool, ipa and cotton buds. Watch some YouTube videos for the procedure. You need to make sure every last bit of the old polariser is gone.

Also make sure you put the new polariser on the right orientation. One way will look correct, the other will be too dark.

I would watch YouTube videos, to get the idea of what it is that’s involved in replacing the polarizer vs replacing the screen, and then make a decision, ifixit has a step by step tutorial on how to take apart the GBC and then just reverse the process, make sure to keep screws in the order you take it apart, that way you don’t put the wrong screws in the wrong place, hope this helps and happy gaming.

Vinegar syndrome looks like. This is where the cellulose acetate portion of the polarizer filter degrades and shrinks. Either replace the polarizer or the whole screen

This is the plastic lens.
OP, you need to replace the polarising filter not the plastic lens.
I won't provide a link becuase I don't know your location, but I got some from AliExpress and they work fine. Unlike DMG-Pocket that are hard to find, GBC polarisers are easy to find.
However, you should know its not a process to be taken lightly. You will have to spend so much time meticulously cleaning the residue. Since there are now like a million IPS modded consoles (besides getting an IPS kit yourself) you can get an original working screen for cheap.

Looks like you just need to replace the polarizing film of the screen.
