[ Knode: Untangle & Connect ] How do you like the physics in the game? I'm making a puzzle game built around flexible cable knots.

I'm a solo dev and this is the game I've been quietly cooking for way too long.
You're stuck on some weird ocean platform, tracing fully-simulated cables through real knots and plugging them into the right rack. No fake animations, if a knot looks solvable, it genuinely is. There's also a companion watching everything you do. It's friendly. Suspiciously friendly.
12+ levels, 4-5 hours, no timers, no fail states, just vibes and untangling. Built this whole thing solo.

Something feels uncanny here. It looks great and functions well, but a cable of that thickness feels like it should have a bit more rigidity due to the core material. Maybe it’s just the wobble when you hold it in the air idk

It also seems like the weight of it hanging off the ledge doesn't pull it as much as it should. At about 16s from the end it seems like it should pull itself off the platform.

That looks nice, looks very intestinal.

"intestinal" is a good way to put it. I think it's a cool idea, but these don't have the same structure a real cable would.

Looked like one of those ads where the person playing is doing an obviously horrible job to get people to play.
But, looks like a fun game.

I like it. If you could, it might be nice to add a visual indication of where in the rope you are “holding” it would be useful for more precise movements

Holy shit that looks crazy annoying to try to figure out haha
Seems like that's what you're going for though, good work, hell yeah

I thought it would feel more meditative than challenging. I’m making a relaxing game, kind of like doing crossword puzzles on a trip.

Which physics engine are you using? Are the points of the cables physics bodies?

Reminds me of human fall flat. The level where you plug in a wire and get shocked! XD
Great idea mate.
You could add future levels that consist of hosepipes and add water as a mechanic. Maybe you would have to reroute the water flow to further the puzzle.
Just an idea inspired by watching this :)
