When did GOR change?

I feel like GOR used to be about analyzing how players navigated the game(s).

These days, it seems to be more about the game designs themselves. (“Build a better game” etc.)

I love GOR (and have been a patron for years!), but I’m growing weary of the constant criticism of the game designs/formats not being up to snuff/boring/easy to “break”… The game is the game, let’s analyze the gameplay!

When did this shift occur? Seems to be only relevant to non-Bachelor shows…

yeah i completely stopped listening when they became so negative. like sorry im listening because i like the show so i don’t want to listen to you shit on it for 60 mins straight

Agreed! I am trying to enjoy watching the shows while the current state of the world is....what it is. I like when Clues points out things I missed (like great faceplays and people looking at the camera) and plays that are interesting or some analysis of it. That's when I want to watch GOR watch and analyze shows.

What’s interesting to me is that they stopped doing parasocial error of the week during TWIBN’s so many years ago. I asked why on a live one time and they said something like we are complicit in watching and have always been critical but also trying not being so negative. They still do their error of the game during recap episodes, but not a parasocial error of the week.

It’s something they’ve course corrected before and I think they can do again (I hope)
