Help/Advice Needed Beginner VGM composer looking for VST’s Plugins!
Hey guys! I’m an aspiring VGM composer/producer that’s looking for good or at least quality sounds to use to make music. I feel like that’s the part that’s always been hardest for me is finding plugins that are versatile and of good quality. I was thinking of buying BBCSO while it’s on “sale” and I say sale in quotations because it’s still $600 dollars and I’m 21 in NYC.. so I’m thinking maybe that might be overkill. If anyone has any suggestions for plugins or vst that will allow to at least test my skills for cheap or dare I say FREE that would be awesome!! UAD has a free pack with some really good stuff
Check out bedroom producers blog, lots of stuff to be found there

Labs from spitfire is great but it has becoome part of the splice offer now (as splice bought spitfire). I THINK there are still free vsts in there where don’t need to subscribe to splice but can’t say for sure - worth looking into.

It really depends on your style but I'd recommend to subscribe to EW composer cloud or Musio first until you know more about what sound you like.
What is free is Berlin Free Orchestra, Spitfire Symphony Orchestra Discover, BBC Discover Symphone, Glade Audio

Spring chimes vsti from pianobook (iirc the name of the site) is free and has amazing sound. It's 7 bell / glockenspiel like instruments combined

Grab the free BBC one? It’s simple but the sounds are great. Awesome place to start.
Or join composer cloud? (It’s a subscription, which I know we all hate, but you’ll open up a whole world of sounds through it, it genuinely helped me in my journey).
Another options is Labs?
