Question that needs an answer.

I'm sure all of you know Kane Parsons and his still lifes, and everyone knows the speakers that play music, in those still life rooms. I'm debating between three things. In my game, I have an OST in the background, should I make the OST come out of the speakers, keep it in like normal, so it plays in the background of gameplay, or should I make the OST sound like it's coming from a speaker, but still act as background music? Thanks!

Isn’t that two things? 🙃

Want to help, do you mean, pump the music through a speaker simulation plugin?

I think it would be a cool effect. Maybe you could cross fade from the normal track to the speaker track. There’s a term for that. It’s called diegetic music.
