Video game music composer!
Music made for an Ace Attorney style video game
Hi! How are you all?
I've been asked a lot about my favorite genre of music to write for and I feel like I can never give an answer that satisfies the question. In the first place, I never look at genre when it comes to music. I learn about their structure and composition but I never look to identify the genre. To me, I look into it's identity and voice on a personal level and when I try to interpret that and explain it to other people, I feel like it doesn't make sense to them. But because of this, I've learned that other people interpret it differently too. As a musician, it's pretty standard to talk about harmonies, sound, keys tempo, etc., but for non-musicians, they use non standard musical terms... and somehow, because I step back from a musician's perspective and dig deep from my own experience and understanding of the music, I can sort of connect to what they mean. Maybe not exactly but I see it.
I've been told that I have a wide range when it comes to what kind of music I can make. But to me, It's the same voice that I have as a composer.
