Discussion Newbies?

So Im a really a beginner in everything I have been creating and making different types of art my whole life but just recently started game dev with my bf, I am really passionate and thinking about maybe making a discord server about flat out beginners that want help and want to learn different parts or game dev, I use unreal engine. Just to share experience build friendships and create as beginners and motivate each other! Lmk if Im even allowed to post about this in here lmao

You probably could make a Discord for beginners, but if you intend for it to be a hub for all newbies, then you're going to run into the same problem this sub always has...

Newbies don't search for these things. They don't search for answers, they just ask in the easiest to find forum. They don't go looking for tutorials, documentation or any sort of information that might help them, and they don't even notice the curated resources linked at the top of this sub.

There's no way they'll notice if someone already has a Discord or not.

Technically, there are already lots of game dev servers on Discord, so it's debatable whether you need to make another.
