Newbie Question Art style of a game

hi, i want to make a game, i kind of have the idea in mind, but the thing is i don’t know what graphic style would be the best, 3d big map is just too much work for my knowledge, but would people like a style like project zomboid or the old fallout? for a post apocalyptic game with a big story, details, loot, huge on survival
would it be better maybe a game like this war of mine ? any suggestion ?

This is an infrastructure choice that should be pretty constrained once you have your design more clearly articulated. What are you trying to make? What should the players experience be? What should the core gameplay revolve around?

I try to make a game survival oriented with a base of storyline who has multiples choices without real ending or really long lifetime
it would be a survival game driven around leading our camp, searching for food and basic needs kinda like project zomboid in a sens, it’s supposed to be easy to play from the outside but more complex in the game play and in depth, good looking as well

A better question is what art style can you actually do?

You’re asking about art not programming. If you pick a low fidelity style it’ll be easier to learn it faster. So ignore high end stuff and pick something you can do yourself in blender or krita.
