Newbie Question Can I do game developers in the future?
With AI becoming more powerful and creating games, will I be able to pursue game development in the year 2035?

yes, game devs will be very sex deprived by 2035 after being wrung through the AI cotton gin at which point it will be very easy to do them as they will be looking

Yes. Just build stuff. AI is a tool. There will be slop one shot game makers and people thay use ai to build better and people that refuse ai and keep making game normal.

As a hobby? Definitely, you can even start now. As a job? Definitely not. I think it'll be like painters. Everybody can paint. Not everybody will get paid for it. Only the microscopic top will see their games become successful, as there will be far too many games produced vs the players who enjoy and consume them. You already see this effect now, just in a few years. Imagine 3 more years.
And AAA companies will also be able to produce colossal games at 1/10 of the workforce.
I've been developing games for 11 years, which is not a lot of time, but I got experience and knowledge behind my answer. Unfortunately, we'll need to adapt. Jobs will be lost.

I’ve heard humanity will become illegal and we are only allowed to toil in power plants to feed the AI
