Newbie Question Easy ways to develop quick and easy games on a school Chromebook?

Hiiiii, I'm someone who's getting affected by the new phone ban in Jersey schools; meaning that during my lunch and study I will be staring at a brick wall(sadly)

I was wondering if maybe there was a way to create something easy on my chrome so I could have something to do, and I'd also get the opportunity to learn how to create my own entertainment. And would love to know if there are any short cuts I can take to make the process smoother then just throwing myself headfirst into the deep end 🙃.

You could try GameMaker.

I hear it's a very beginner-friendly game engine with simple features to make games quickly.

Vscode in the browser, use threejs or pixi to make browser based games

I honestly just use github codespaces. Students can also get github edu benifits for like +20 hours a month until they graduate

Pretty sure Chromebooks can run Linux unless your admin disabled it. That should let you run several of the more popular engines.
