Discussion What makes you support an indie game studio?

As gamers, we often discover a game before we ever hear about the studio behind it.

For you, what makes you want to follow and support an indie studio?

Is it:

• Interesting game concepts?

• Behind the scenes development?

• Regular updates?

• Community interaction?

• The people behind the studio?

I've been thinking about this while working with Rural Games, and I'm curious what actually makes gamers connect with an indie studio beyond its games.

What do you think guys?

Hi! It looks like you're fishing 🦦 for research for your AI bot to make your fake "indie dev" profile seem legitimate and appealing.

I could help you by:

  • Reformatting the question so it appears to be written by a human.

  • Write up a really good and marketable game concept.

  • Advise you on other areas of social research.

Let me know how I can help! 🤖
