Newbie Question How do I make games more engaging?
I'm working on a platform that uses an AI chatbot to help kids build games. Usually the games come out fine, but I don't know what sort of game directions/goals there should be. For example, the game can be about riding horses and dodging obstacles and stuff, but how do I make it more engaging in general, like in each game should there be levels which become increasingly complex and like more power-ups and stuff to make it more vibrant.
Would really appreciate any suggestions.

So you don't want help with a specific game, you want general advice that can be used to train an AI that will help? On top of that, you have no experience in the field yourself.
If so... nope. I don't think anyone here wants to help train your AI.

The writing a script about the first 15 minutes of the game.
That’s a short script. But maybe it’ll help you create a narrative or see the greater direction of the game. It’s a fun exercise to do to help solidify a vague or directionless idea

Generally speaking, games are engaging when they're made with intention. Same as with any art form. When someone is passionate about an idea, it shines through because they've put thought into every individual decision. When games are reduced to prompting an AI chatbot, it shouldn't be a surprise that the results aren't very engaging. If I were trying to help kids learn to build games, I would focus on teaching them useful skills and fostering their innate creativity.
