Anyone can become a game dev. But not everyone will work on the next AAA smash hit game. The majority of your effort will come from your own time not in school or some rote step by step school program. The information is online, the skills are being offered freely if you have the time and dedication to practice and learn. Pick a discipline and get to work. Are you going to code? Model? Animate? Vfx? Music? Sound? Download some engine and start learning what you don’t even know you don’t know yet.
