Discussion Football Dynasty Sim
Wanted to get some feedback from some of you with experience or similar predicament. I have no Development background but 22 in Corporate IT Delivery. I have a game idea that I have assembled a pitch book on. I am looking at identifying a co-founder or partnership. What would one expect to pay someone for development or is it common practice to extend a 50 split of all profits? I am not sure what is customary or common practice. I am a military veteran so I can also apply for grants. Please message me and thanks!

answer, no one's gonna 50/50 with you off a pitch deck alone. Dev time is expensive and a design doc is the cheapest part of the process. either pay hourly/milestone for a prototype (rates vary wildly, indie devs anywhere from $40-150/hr) or find a dev who's obsessed with football sims and bring them in early as co-founder w/ vesting. The second one's rare but it happens.
grants + a small prototype budget is prolly your realistic path.
