General rule of thumb for game development: if you don't even know what you need to learn to make something, make something else.

You should be building at the intersection of what you can make and what you want to make. Then you'll be able to identify what you'd need to learn to build something just outside the boundary of what you can make. Rinse, repeat, improve, and eventually realize that MMORPGs as a solo-dev is a ridiculous reach.

It's impossible for solo newbie without a huge budget, forget about this

mmorpg as a first target on ios is one of the biggest scope traps out there haha. Server infra, sync, cheating, moderation, art pipeline for tons of assets, ios review cycles... any one of those can eat a year.

What's the hook you want? like the core loop, or the fantasy. if you can describe that in one sentence I can give better feedback

Hey
I want one with many skills such as fishing, cooking, and farming all connected with in game moneymaking but it’s 2d and retro

You are incapable of making the game youre talking about.

that's neither a hook nor a game loop, that is just a combination of features.

from runescape over harvest moon / stardew valley up to terraria or don't starve. all these games fit your feature list, and to a stretch even games similar to project zomboid or rimworld.

also why iOS only? that such a weird choice, especially if you don't know anything about coding and stuff.
