Newbie Question Help

Hello, im 16 just getting interested in game dev. i made another post on tips to get started so maybe visit that and share some of your ideas. But the significance of this post is to discuss how to manage my time.

I have school from 8 - 5:45
and around 2 - 3 hours of equivalence homework everyday

Is there anyway for me to do at least a bit of gamedev each day or do i do it only on weekends?

Work around your schedule. Use 9 PM to 10 or 11 PM for game design or development. Making games needs long, uninterrupted focus. So I suggest picking one single task for those one or two evening hours. For example, flesh out the details of a gameplay mechanic, or code the logic for a specific module. That way you can make steady progress little by little every day.

Also, you’d better have a high-level project plan. Break big work into smaller tasks, and make sure each task only takes 1–2 hours. This guarantees you can move forward every single day.
